What to Expect During Your Psychological Evaluation
At Brookside Anxiety & Mental Health, we pride ourselves on providing comprehensive evaluation based on gold standards of assessment.
All assessments begin with data collection, including online forms and a 90-min diagnostic interview. At the conclusion of the interview, you will be provided a good faith estimate of final cost of the assessment. You will also be provided additional forms to complete which could include completion by teachers, parents, or partners. Your provider might also need to review records (e.g., grades, previous reports) or speak with others (e.g., teachers, members of care team).
The day of testing will likely be 3 or more hours and will be scheduled once all forms are submitted. Several weeks following testing, a feedback session will held to share the assessment findings. You will be provided a detailed report of findings, along with valuable recommendations and suggestions for possible accommodations in your workplace or school.
Testing sessions will be recorded and used in the evaluation process. Your testing session will be deleted following your feedback session.
Assessment cost varies greatly depending on the diagnostic questions. Learn more about assessment fees.
